The Meteors Vs. The World parts I & II reissued on vinyl in August via Svart Records
The original creators of Psychobilly music, The Meteors began as a reaction against soft
neo-rockabilly music of the late 70's rock revival era. Since then the loud, sneering lovers of
horror, perversion and death have released a few dozen records and are still going strong,
over 40 years into their career of evil. The Meteors are all about raucous, die-hard, and
wildly entertaining mix of rockabilly, country, surf and punk rock'n'roll to the fullest.
The Meteors Vs. The World was originally released by Anagram Records on a double CD
back in 1999 and split into two separate vinyl editions, parts I and II, on the same year by
Raucous Records. The double album is a collection of 17 Paul Fenech composed songs, half
a dozen live tracks from a headlining set at the Tenth Anniversary Big Rumble held at Great
Yarmouth's Vauxhall Holiday Park, two tracks recorded live in Las Vegas, five alternative
versions of previously released songs, plus two bonus tracks.
