Battle System
Inheriting the series' traditional 3-on-3 team battle, KOF XV also features a new system.
Get ready for a battle system that delivers more speed and excitement than ever before!
KOF XV features the classic 3-on-3 team battle system where each team consists of 3 roles--the Point, Middle, and Anchor. Tactically change the position of your characters depending on you or your opponent’s strengths and weaknesses for an even greater layer of excitement.
The new SHATTER STRIKE system defends against and counters attacks.
When you have one or more power gauges, perform a forward quarter circle motion with [ ? ][ ? ][ ? ], then press [HP][HK] to perform a Shatter Strike.
MAX MODE
When you have two or more power gauges, press [LK][HP] to activate MAX Mode. In MAX Mode, a character's attack and Guard Crush strength increases.
MAX MODE QUICKActivating
MAX Mode upon landing a regular attack or command move activates MAX Mode (Quick). Also works if the attacks are blocked. MAX Mode (Quick) allows you to combo immediately into the next action without leaving an opening. However, attack and Guard Crush strength do not increase with MAX MODE (Quick).
RUSH
Approach your opponent and tap [LP] repeatedly to start a Rush, which allows you to easily perform combos with a single button. If you activate Rush when you have one or more power gauges, your attack will vary based on the fourth attack-button pressed.

EX Special Moves
EX Special Moves are powered-up special moves. They are performed in MAX Mode and consume a small amount of the mode's gauge. To activate one outside of MAX Mode, you can use one half of the power gauge.
Super Special Moves
Super Special Moves are powerful special moves activated with specific command inputs. They require and consume one block of the power gauge.

KOF XV features rollback netcode.KOF XV features a wide variety of online features including RANKED MATCH, CASUAL MATCH, ROOM MATCH, and ONLINE TRAINING. There’s also the new DRAFT VS mode, which pits you against an opponent as you try to nab your favorite character before they can.
