At the end of the 13th century, the Mongol empire devastated entire nations during its campaign for the conquest of the East. Tsushima Island is the last bulwark protecting the Japanese archipelago from a massive invasion of the Mongolian fleet led by Khotun Khan, a cunning and ruthless general. Mongolian samurai Jin Sakai is one of the last members of his clan still alive. He is ready to do anything to protect his people and reclaim their land, whatever the cost. Jin must break with the tradition that has allowed him to become the warrior that he is and take a new path, the path of the Ghost, to wage an atypical war and protect the freedom of Tsushima.
